About Rob
I’m a Sicilian-Cockney geezer, who likes driving fast expensive Italian motors, jumping out of planes, shooting, training my dogs, and supporting the mighty hammers. I served in the 186° Reggimento Paracadutisti “Folgore” and worked as a bodyguard in Italy for 8 years, and I also read history at King’s College, London, and la Sapienza, Rome.
I’m a former national Greco-Roman wrestling champion, I competed nationally in Freestyle wrestling, beach wrestling, Sambo wrestling and traditional Sardinian wrestling “S’Istrumpa”. I was also the 1997 European submission wrestling champion. Submission wrestling is now known as grappling and regulated by FILA.
I coach wrestling and traditional Sicilian fighting arts. I’m also a qualified tactical handgun instructor and range master.
My father was English and my mother Sicilian, I was brought up in East London, and like most my family I’m an anarchist, although unlike most my ancestors, I haven’t taken up arms and tried to overthrow the state — yet!
I co-own a sports company.
