Castrating Paedophiles
In Europe and the USA there is growing support for surgical castration and chemical castration of paedophiles. At the moment castration is voluntarily but in California, Scandinavia and France it is officially being used as an incentive to early release from prison. And is now going to have a bearing on probation boards decisions to release offenders in Britain too.
Surgical Castration dramatically reduces a man’s sexual drive and in most can stop a man from getting an erection, there is very little evidence to show how effective this is but what there is shows a low rate of sexual recidivism. Removing the ovaries of female paedophiles is shown to have the similar effects to surgical castration.
Chemical castration may be more effective at reducing the man’s capacity to get an erection and again what tests have been conducted show a low rate of sexual recidivism but there can be serious health side effects and the treatment can cause death.
The problem with chemical castration is that it is not very precise and not only the side effects it might be abused by the paedophile who can lie about the effects of his medication. Also because these people are not cured they would have to take the medication for the rest of their lives.
Surgical castration might not work because although it is a single irreversible procedure, testosterone injections would reverse the effect. Testosterone is regularly used by bodybuilders and athletes.
Other problems with castration are that it would make it harder for a paedophile to be traced as there would be less chance of DNA evidence being found.
But my main concern is why are paedophiles being released back into the community at all. It would be far more sensible to lock them up for life – then you know they not going to re-offend. The fact that so many paedophiles want to be castrated bothers me too. I don’t except that this is a disease that they have no control over, they weren’t born this way, this is such a cop out. It like saying – “it wasn’t me it was my balls”!
In you rape a child under 13 you should get an automatic life sentence, without the possibility of parole.

Not really you seem to just be stirring the pot. Society has an innate desire to protect children…boo hoo for those that feel this somehow infringes on them.
The constant harangue of Pedophile doesn’t = child rapists is false. raped child = pedophile is the truth.
So to the pedos that resist their urges or even seek help for these oh so unnatural feelings good for you. Continue your struggle and you’ll never be bothered by the law or angry masses.

It is used to categorize psychiatric disorders. Pedophilia is a disorder one will find under the parasexual disorders. It is a medical disorder until one acts on it. then it is a crime.

No, it is a very rational: you couldn’t be convicted of having twisted sexual fantasies of raping or sexually molesting prepubescents because as long as you didn’t tell anyone, none of us would be any the wiser, and so long as they remained fantasies you would be doing no one else any harm. It is only when you actualise those fantasies that you commit a crime, and as such become an active paedophile. Convicted paedophiles (i.e. anyone convicted of sex crimes against prepubescents) should never be allowed out of jail but castration might be of some benefit to you.

When you tell me what this thread was about, i could swear it said “Castrating Paedophiles”, my mistake, it obviously was meant to read “Castrating child abusers”.
I had every fucking right (pardon me) for objecting to this thread and now i believe i have explained it fully even for the more intellectually challenged here. My job is done on this thread and i didnt intend on hijacking it, but really, i cannot allow you people to discuss me in this way behind my back.

The post wasn’t about starry eyed pedophiles who struggle with any demon or are super comfy with the wiring and /or lifestyle choices they have. It was about pedophiles who have acted upon their urges and committed a crime.

The original post was all about the punishment that should be levied upon a person that commits a crime. Are you seriously suggesting it isn’t a crime to have sex with a minor ?
