Now that I’ve got your attention…

Martial arts are all very well but Lets get real, a 50kg girl isn’t going to wrestle a 100kg man to the ground and put him in an arm lock. Her theoretical right to defend herself is utterly meaningless if she’s deprived of the means of defending herself. A state that denies the right to bear arms is reinforcing the physical gender inequality between men and women. A girl is more likely to the victim of a random violent attack by a man than the other way around.

While there is nothing wrong in learning a martial art, when it comes to self-defence a girl can’t do better than a Beretta px4 storm subcompact, which she really can conceal in her knickers if she wants.

Gun control i.e. legislation restricting gun ownership and the right to carry won’t reduce the number of guns carried on the streets illegally or gun crime, and it won’t even make guns harder for criminals to get hold of. All they will do is deny law-abiding citizens the right to bear arms for self-protection. It is as good as sanctioning rape, mugging and carjacking.

    @ Jasiek

No, I live in Europe. I have places in Cartanissetta, London and San Sebastian, and a sister who lives in Rome. I own and carry a firearm in Italy.

    @ Alfie

Thanks. I think the real reason that the right to carry isn’t really on the feminists agenda is that mainstream American feminism is pretty much tied to the Democrats, and they see being pro gun as being pro Republican. But I think the NRA has done more for gender equality in America than NOW ever has.

    Steph:

Thanks for this article. I totally agree with you on the need for women [as well as men] to carry guns. One of the biggest examples are the delincuents that menace our streets [all in the name of “democracy”.

I am at the present time in Baltimore Maryland for a medical convention. I took this photo of some delinquents planning a crime. Please feel freee to look at the link since the photo was taken approximately three hours ago.

I do not know when is your birthday or the anniversary date of your blog but feel free to use this link and photo for your blog. Best Wishes from Baltimore

Love that ! I also like the thread comments regarding feminists and gun control. Although I imagine the feminists would like to think gun control keeps guns out of the hands of men who would use them against women the truth is what it is. Criminalizing guns just make it assured that criminals will be the only folks with ‘em.
