Zionism Vrs. Fascism at the Oxford Union
Last nights debate at the Oxford Union was no re-run of battle of Cable Street, it wasn’t even a clash between antifascists or fascists, it was a spat between Jewish fascism and non-Jewish fascism. Make no mistake, Griffin and Irving are both Neo-Nazis but compared to the Jewish screechers of hate, they are small fry. They’re certainly no threat to the current political order.
The far more dangerous and equally odious fascists in the UK, are Jewish supremacists (Zionists) – the Israel First brigade. These Jewish fundamentalists, who will will burst with furious indignation and hysterically screech accusations of anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial at anyone who questions any part of the Zionist narrative of history (including, falsely, at President Ahmadinejad and Prof. Finkelstein), don’t just deny the existence of past genocides, they’re carrying them out today, in the name of Zion. These Jewish fanatics, who are the first to denounce the MAB and MCB, falsely, of being religious fascists, support the Jewish genocide and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians and the Bush doctrine of trying to oppress and subjugate over 1.5 billion Muslims.
The hypocrisy is unbelievable. In a country run by the overtly pro Zionist New Labour regime, heavily financed by crooked Zionist businessmen, they’ve got the cheek to call the BNP and Hizb-ut Tahrir, who don’t have one elected member of Parliament between them, a threat to democracy.
Despite the fact that he is clearly a Nazi sympathiser, Irving isn’t a Holocaust denier, as he pointed out in his trial in Austria, “In no way did I deny the killings of millions of people by the Nazis.” What he was convicted of, was suggesting that there were no gas chambers at Auschwitz, which he now admits he was mistaken about.
Irving is certainly controversial and has odious political views but as Finkelstein points out that doesn’t make him a bad historian:
‘I can give you the politically correct answer and say “he’s terrible, he’s this and he’s that.” Personally, I don’t like the fellow. I think he is a Nazi. However, I have to be fair… Gordon Craig wrote, “his contributions are indispensable.”
It was Irving that proved the Hitler diaries were fakes and as Finkelstein also points out, the highly respected Holocaust historian Raul Hilberg, thinks that Holocaust deniers are useful:
“they ask all the questions that everyone else takes for granted, that nobody else thinks to ask.”
As odious as they are, Griffin and Irving have less fascist credentials then many of the previous guest speakers at the Oxford Union or sitting members of Parliament.

Superb post Steph. Top Class.
The world needs more thinkers like you.
Thanks Roberto
This is a great article. I agree with what is being said.
@ Ros
I agree on the irony. Antifascists trying to deny others the right to free speech. That’s why I call illiberal liberalism
Great link. I remember Rob saying something similar on my old blog. When he was at Uni, students were encouraged to read Irving’s books.
@ John
Thanks. And all the best to you too.
@ Heather
Thanks. We have Labour friends of Israel, Conservative friends of Israel and Lib Dem friends of Israel but they are more shady. Labour friends of Israel are the most powerful lobby group in British politics.
@ Rob
Thanks. Yeah I agree, the one who might commit UK forces to taking part in another illegal, genocidal and suicidal war in Israel. Now that really is something to protest about.
@ Ros
See, that’s what I think. As a Liberal, I believe in free speech, period. Interesting article.
Brilliant post Steph. The ADL and AIPAC are just like that over here.
Fascinating article, Steph. Nice one.
All the best
John
I was lying in bed listening to Radio 4 this morning, when the reporter mentioned something about the “anti fascists” staging a sit in to prevent the fascists from speaking. I wondered if any of them saw the irony in that! (Possibly not)
Found myself nodding in agreement to this article yesterday.

History is full of interpretations of events. That doesn’t mean they are wrong, just represents a certain viewpoint.
Great post Steph. Griffin has about as much chance of winning a seat in Parliament as Peter Manfredo Jr. had of beating Joe Calzaghe – no fucking chance! I’m more worried about the fascist Scottish git trying to increase detention without trial.
