Who Killed Maddy?

Who Killed Maddy? This is the question that the police are now asking according to Jornal de Notícias. The Portuguese police now believe it is almost certain that Maddy was killed in the apartment where she was staying with her parents, and the finger of suspicion has now fallen upon parents, who along with their friends will be re-interviewed.

Jornal de Notícias reports the discovery of traces of blood (believed to be Maddy’s) at the Ocean Club apartment where the McCann family were staying and evidence that someone tried very hard to clear it up.

It will be interesting how the British media reacts to this “shocking” news, which is far from shocking if you always had your doubts about the McCann’s downright suspicious behaviour. Kidnap was only ever a possibility, and on the balance of the evidence, not the most likely one.

Forget the fact that they neglected their children, the McCanns time line was always inexplicable: they took far too long to notify the police that she has gone missing and then the media circus that they created, has enormously sabotaged the Portuguese Police’s investigation. If the police are right and Maddy was killed in her parent’s apartment, it doesn’t mean the McCanns are automatically guilty but it doesn’t look good.

Keith, they have already appointed and English legal team experienced in fighting extradition. But that might not be a good move, she can be charged over here, and the English police probably have a lot more legal powers than the Portuguese police.

Absolutely. Kate McCann will be too ill to take any more part in the investigation, probaly too ill to return to Portugal, ever….. and another one bites the dust of the establishment.

Dave, I think you’ve summarised the case pretty well. It depends on how solid the forensic evidence is or if they confess because the police obviously don’t think the strong circumstantial evidence is enough to hang a conviction on. I would like to see the British police apply to freeze the assets of the Find Maddy Campaign.

it is my honest opinion as it has been from the very start that all the evidence points to the parents being responsible for their daughters disappearance, everything that has come to pass to me only points in there direction, you refer to kidnapper there has never been one confirmed sighting of any other suspect, other than by one of the mcann entourage,i believe they have all been duped too, i will say again,i believe that day an unfortunate accident took place in the apartment that mid afternoon, (i don’t believe for one minute the parents deliberately killed her),the accident that occured would have had terrible implications for one or both of the mcanns,i believe as others do also that this accident probably involved the administering of a sedative prescription drug used to ensure maddy stayed asleep that evening,as it was known she was a very active child, something happened that caused her to stop breathing and expire in that apartment despite frantic efforts to save her by the parents, both parents realized they would be held responsible for maddys death, and lose there twins, their incomes as well as jobs, the plan came in to fruition to claim maddy was abducted that evening whilst the mcanns dined near by,firstly though the body was removed that afternoon to a provisional resting place, this is why they never used a babysitter, that evening the twins were given sedatives to ensure there was absolutely no possibility of waking up and compromising the entire plan, then the mcanns left the apartment door insecure, went for dinner with their friends as though nothing had happened, even engaging bar staff at their dinner table (much to the bar staff surprise she had never been friendly with the mcanns),gerry engaged a neighbor in idle chit chat (again throws weight to the created abduction time slot ) at the designated time to raise the alarm, kate mcann checks the apartment, exits screaming “they have taken her”,they then confuse the Portuguese police by the way the crime scene has been left, the mcanns had made a point of leaving maddys favorite teddy bear high on a shelf (the one maddy took everywhere),to put more emphasis on the abduction theory, remember they created the crime scene hence the automatic “they have taken her quote” by kate mcann, this is why they never passed thought to maddy wondering off theory like people expected,in reality this should have started alarm bells ringing,it was the wrong reaction, normal parents would have at first suspected their child had wondered off and franticly searched the entire vicinity before giving in to the inevitable, but if it has not really happened you would not know how to react appropriately,it was all totally staged, even now i have a hard time even remotely considering why an abductor would risk transferring his DNA profile on to that teddy and leaving it high up on a shelf, for the impending arrival off scenes of crime officers, and to this day she is still in possession of that teddy,in reality it was a very hastily prepared crime scene by the mcanns,it was difficult for the Portuguese’s police to even assertain the point of entry, because of the lack of evidence off forced entry ,it was only then that the police suspect that access must have been gained by the apartment door, remember the mcanns saying the shutters were forced ?,the door was ajar ?,all designed to create chaos, now we have arrived where we should have right from the beginning, right back with the parents who in reality are the only suspects in this case, the evidence we are seeing now has come from the scene of the accident, and the removal and transport of the body from its provisional hiding place to its final resting place, whether this evidence proves conclusive in securing a conviction i don’t know, but to me with everything else i find it very compelling, and the parents subsequent flight from Portugal straight after questioning speaks in itself,i expect their public relations machine to go in to overdrive regardless off how incriminating future evidence or revelations will be,and i would not be surprised if kate mcann has a staged nervous breakdown and end up to ill to ever stand trial in Portugal, they have some very influential friends in some very influential places,i fully expect a contrived out come to this case

Gideon, I thought her meeting with the Pope was very uneasy too but I don’t want to read anything into that. But I think the Portuguese police are right to treat these two as prime suspects. They’re entitled to a fair trial and the presumption of innocence, but what they’re not entitled to be is to be immune from prosecution or suspicion. That’s what they are demanding. Now they’re calling on the foreign secretary to intervene, which sounds a lot like asking him to pervert the course of justice.

The Mom was on methamphetamines. Her video with the Pope even shows her sensitivity to sunlight and I bet that is why she did freak out and do that. (It was not the tears.) And if you notice, the Pope would not hold her hand–nor did she really want that. The husband sure did. The Pope visit was more about salvation–and the husband totally open minded to redemption. And yes, they are Pro’s at manipulation. Even giving kids sedatives is a form of manipulation (to get what you want.)

I can see why the British media is so protective of them, they invested in them the last thing they want is for the to turn out to have been involved but I can’t see why the British government lent them a spin doctor. Because given the evidence, it’s far more likely she was murdered by someone she knew than was kidnapped.

I am a believer in the conspiracy theory and go with my guts instinct!. I have never thought that the Mcanns behaviour/ reaction was normal- it seems very cold given that they had lost a daughter. I am a mother of three children and a lawyer myself. On the facts I do not believe the Mcanns story although I have given them the benefit of the doubt.I believe that they had something to do with her dissappearance probably because they cannot handle three kids (twins and a 3 year old) and they clearly got on their way of pleasure (evidence: leaving them alone in a room at night whilst they dined out with friends and free child care was available). The British media is annoyingly controlling the information and the investigation to the detriment of the victim. I do hope that the truth will come out soon.
